CDA received communication late yesterday regarding the approval of a public health waver that will allow the state’s 36,000 Dentists to administer COVID-19 vaccinations to people 16 and older. Please see the press release linked below for more information.

Emergency Waver for Dentist to administer Vaccine

Dentists and dental professionals will be offered the Covid-19 vaccine during the Tier 3 of Phase 1a of distribution in most counties. The vaccine is not required by law, but I wanted to let you where you are on the timeline, if you choose to get vaccinated.

The below information is by County. I have tried to contact each of the 9 counties NCDS represents and will continue to provide you with the information I receive in regards to Covid-19 and the vaccine distribution to dental professionals. As you know each County has been charged with administering the vaccine locally.

Shasta County Shasta County Vaccine Rollout NCDS will be involved in the Covid-19 Committee starting in a few weeks. We will be assisting the County in contacting Shasta County area dental professionals when the vaccine is available to them. Please see the “rollout link” provided.

Butte County Butte County Vaccine Rollout Timeline

Glenn County is currently vaccinating Dental Professionals call 530/934-6588 to get an appointment for a vaccine at an upcoming clinic. If you haven’t already been contacted, you will be soon.

Lassen County will be offering the vaccine to Dental Professionals as early as next week. They will be contacting you with details soon.

Plumas County will be offering dental professionals the vaccine on 1/12/21 and 1/14/21. Please call 530-283-6188 to make an appointment. Flyer Screening form

Modoc County will be offering the vaccine to Dental Professionals in the next few weeks. I spoke with Tanya Schulz, who said she has sent an email to the Dental Offices in Modoc County with an update.

Siskiyou County was scheduled to receive 350 vaccines for distribution on 12/21/2020. Siskiyou County vaccine rollout
