DESCRIPTION:Course Title –             Building the Integrative Dental Medicine Practice \nThe opportunity to impact chronic disease\, provide a wellness\n platform for patients\, and take the practice to the next level… is now! \nCourse Outline/ Objectives- \n	Present recent research connecting periodontal pathogens and chronic disease\n	Discover the commonalities of all chronic disease\n	Outline the five components of the integrative dental medicine practice\n	Explore methods to mitigate both inflammation and oxidative stress that impacts all concurrent chronic disease … including periodontitis\n	Connect patient wellness to periodontal pathogen overload and the value of testing for diagnosis and treatment considerations\n	Make available a simple method to treat periodontal disease based on salivary testing\n	Discuss actual cases to create value for salivary testing\n	Update new insights on systemic oxygenation and airway considerations in the dental practice\n	Review the role of sugar in chronic disease; causal or ‘linked to’ ?\n	Generate value for and empower the dental team to integrate medical strategies into the practice\n	Envision dentistry as engaged as a primary care providers in the healthcare community\n	Introduce the concept of a wellness coach for lifestyle management in every practice; a billable service line\n	Create enthusiasm for the opportunity be a part of the dental profession in today’s healthcare climate \nPresenter Bio – \nThe presenter is a graduate of the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry as well as completing post graduate experiences with the Pankey Institute\, Dawson Complete Dentistry\, Case Western Advanced Restorative\, Bale-Doneen Medical Preceptorship\,  and the Dawson Institute of Systemic Health.  He has earned fellowships in the American College of Dentists and the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health. During his 40 years of delivering chair-side dentistry\, Dr Kempton has been published\, spoken\, and consulted in the field of oral systemic health and lifestyle medicine. Most recently\, has become a certified lifestyle medicine coach\, dedicated to establishing lifestyle and functional medicine credentials for application in dentistry.
