DESCRIPTION:Download Registration Form or register and pay online below. \nStanding up to Emerging Diseases (3 CE) Nancy Dewhirst\, RDH\, BS \nThis seminar will explore personal health issues such as new and altered diseases of importance to dental professionals\, including infectious diseases\, allergies\, public health risks and bioterrorism. Attention will be given to resistant pathogens and biofilm diseases. These issues are discussed relative to occupational risk\, illness prevention and post-exposure responses. You will leave with a plan for managing today’s microbial challenges using standard and transmission-based precautions. This will include COVID-19 and respiratory protection infection control changes.   She will also include some valuable handouts (models for questionnaires\, questionnaire reporting and medical referral forms\, and ATD screening forms). \nLearning Objectives: \n\nUnderstand about infectious\, lifestyle and occupational diseases.\nLearn about the unexpected health risks.\nUnderstand the safety strategies.
