A Pathway to Reconstructive Dentistry
This is a 6-hour CE lecture presentation designed to assist the skillful clinical dentist
who is keen to evolve his or her practice to include true reconstructive dentistry.
The information presented may also benefit the dentists currently providing
comprehensive dentistry to their patients who occasionally encounter difficulties in
treatment planning and sequencing or in the execution of certain procedures. Our local
specialists will offer suggestions on how they may assist the attendees clinically in
optimizing the outcome and prognosis for their full-mouth reconstruction cases.
A 30-minute answer period will be reserved at the end of the presentation for our
three guest speakers to take questions.
Objectives:
• Introducing Reconstructive Dentistry to your practice
• Increasing professional career satisfaction and boosting self-esteem
• Assessing the patient case with compromised dentitions and habits
• Collecting and documenting case records to avoid miscommunications
• Liaising with a periodontist like a prosthodontist for clinical success
• Liaising with an endodontist like a prosthodontist to exclude variables
• Incorporating contingency plans into perio-pros and endo-pros cases
• Maintaining your patient oral reconstruction case
• Costing out your case to maintain profitability
• Expediency in continuing education in prosthodontics

Dr. Robert Wright – Bio
Dr. Wright operated a family practice with a focus on orthodontics and
prosthodontics for 16 years in Abbotsford, British Columbia, one mile from the
US Border Crossing, before deciding to pursue a five-year program of studies at
USC completing a residency in Prosthodontics and MS degrees in Science
Education and Craniofacial Biology. Prosthodontist, Dr. Edward McLaren invited
Dr. Wright to assist him in developing a postgraduate program in Esthetic
Dentistry at UCLA serving as course director and examiner in occlusion and
esthetic restorative dentistry, whilst also working part-time in his private practice
in Newport Beach.
Dr. Wright completed a two-year, part-time program in oral surgery for
implant dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of England whilst in part-time
private practice in London, England. He later accepted a full-time faculty position
as Associate Professor of Prosthodontics at University of Saskatchewan, Canada
where he received the Student’s Choice Award for Excellence in Teaching from
all four years before returning to the warmer climate of California and private
practice. Dr. Wright likes Shasta County and has made Redding his home
establishing a healthy referral practice here. Dr. Wright considers himself a
clinician with a penchant for teaching eager students with the Wright attitude.

Dr. Hinckley has enjoyed private practice in Redding California since 2018. He thoroughly enjoys the daily challenges and demands for excellence that the endodontic specialty provides. Most of all he enjoys building relationships of trust with his patients and teaching them that “root canals” should not be feared.
